Joint message from Board Chair Davies, President Johnsen, & Chancellors Caulfield, Sandeen, and White On September 26 UA's institutional accreditor, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), forwarded a letter (attached) to the Board of Regents, President Johnsen, and Chancellors Caulfield, Sandeen, and White "expressing concern as to the ongoing efforts to respond to the funding challenges faced by the state's institution of higher learning."

Academic Review process underway

There are 13 inter-university academic review teams charged with preparing reports on possibilities for greater program integration, structural changes, and accreditation options to achieve cost savings and re-envision the delivery of academic programs across the university system. The teams are starting their work this week. Their reports will inform options for consideration by the Board of Regents at its November meeting.
