Review the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appEnrollment Guide
The Enrollment Guide is provided each plan year. This guide gives an overview of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appbenefits, vendor contact information, and all required notices including the Prescription Drug Coverage and Medicare under °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appChoice Plans, Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act, HIPAA Privacy and Security, and HIPAA Special Enrollment Rights. Review your benefits in UAOnline
Now is a great time for employees to login to and confirm their benefits for the current plan year (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025). If there are any questions, please reach out to us at ua-benefits@alaska.edu or (907) 450-8242 to discuss. (To view your current benefits, log into and click "Employee (Upgraded)" in the ribbon at the top > Benefits drop down > Current Summary > Select.)

Deductibles and Out-of-Pocket Maximums Reset
As of July 1, 2024, all deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums on medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision are reset. 

Premera Cards
New Premera cards have been processed and mailed. New cards (as well as temporary cards) can also be requested at any time through the .

VSP Cards
VSP does not send physical cards. Employees (and any enrolled dependent) will use their °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appID with a 0 in front (i.e. °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appID is 300123456, VSP ID is 0300123456).

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Cards
Employees who enrolled in a Health Care or Limited Purpose FSA should have received debit cards in the mail automatically (as long as the employee didn't already have an active debit card). There are no debit cards for the Dependent Care FSA.

A note for new employees joining UA
To any new employees joining °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appthis August - welcome! New benefit-eligible employees will receive an invitation to their °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appemail address to access their personal benefits onboarding & enrollment folder that contains all the information they need to enroll in health care, retirement, and supplemental benefits. Notice below was sent on 6/11/2024, 7/16/2024, 7/30/2024

Data Entry Complete
Employees should log into UAOnline and check their FY25 benefits. Any discrepancies found should be reported to the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appBenefits team for review (ua-benefits@alaska.edu or (907) 450-8242). 

R14 Premium Holiday (7/12/24)
Employees who were enrolled in medical, dental, vision, and/or supplemental benefit coverages for all of FY24 (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024) will see a $0 deduction on their R14 paycheck (paid 7/12/24) for these benefits. This is because employees paid for a full year (26 pay periods) from the July 14, 2023 pay check through the June 28, 2024 paycheck. There is no break in coverage or benefits if an employee is receiving this premium holiday. Employees can always confirm their active benefits by logging into or by reaching out directly to ua-benefits@alaska.edu or (907) 450-8242.
