Honorary Degree Recipients
Honorary degrees are an opportunity for universities to single out people who have made contributions to society. The recognition of selfless dedication to the betterment of mankind has been an overriding theme in the bestowing of honorary degrees by the University of Alaska Board of Regents. Chosen for their leadership roles in the governmental, humanitarian and scientific worlds, Alaskans and non-Alaskans have been selected for this distinguished honor over the years of the institution's existence.
