The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness Program

Did you know that the University of Alaska offers a Wellness Program? This is a free, voluntary online program offered through the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness PreventionCloud Portal. The full program can be accessed online, or you can download it from the benefits website.

Who can participate in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness Program?

All benefit-eligible employees and spouses/financially interdependent partners (FIPs) who are enrolled in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appChoice Premium, Basic, or HDHP with optional HSA Medical plan an opportunity to earn a rebate of $600 each on their FY25 medical care contributions by completing the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness Program.

How to participate in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness Program:

Participants manage their profile and point total via their °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness PreventionCloud dashboard. Employees, along with qualifying spouses/FIPs, are eligible for the $600 rebate - each! To earn the rebate, participants complete a total of 8 activity points: the required Health Risk Assessment (1 point, online), the required annual Biometric Screening (1 point), and 6 additional program points of your choosing. The program completion date is June 30th, 2024.

If you have a spouse/FIP who is enrolled in a °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appChoice Medical plan with you, you want to make sure their email is on file with PreventionCloud. You can register your spouse/FIP’s email by logging into your °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness PreventionCloud portal and submitting their email directly from your dashboard. Your spouse/FIPs will then login to their own °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness PreventionCloud dashboard and complete the program requirements on their own, giving you the possibility to receive a $1200 rebate next year, $600 for you and $600 for your spouse/FIP!

Required Wellness Plan Activities:

The Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is available via online your UA Wellness PreventionCloud Dashboard and takes about 6 minutes to complete. The Assessment will give you a good idea of your overall health and potential risk factors based on your current lifestyle.

The Biometric Screening is a complete blood work measurement of your blood pressure, blood glucose/HbA1c, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and cholesterol ratio. There are three convenient options to have your lab work completed. Details can be found on the wellness portal: Order a Biometric °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app Test, download a Lab Voucher to take to LabCorp, or take the form located in your Physicians packet to your wellness provider to have your labs drawn and then upload your results.

High Point Raffle:

To further encourage healthy habits, you can also earn points to be entered into the High Point Raffle for a $500 gift card of your choice if you obtain a total of 14 points, including the two required activities, by June 30th, 2024.

Schedule your Annual Preventive Exams:

Fall is a great time to have your annual wellness visits scheduled. Don’t delay, contact your wellness providers and schedule your appointments today!

Your current point summary of your °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness Program participation thus far can be found by logging into your °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness PreventionCloud portal. Remember to continue checking your point accumulation and to participate in the wellness activities to earn additional points.

For those participants who earned last year's FY23 °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appWellness Program incentive, that $600 will be provided mid-November from °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±appBenefits. If your spouse/FIP completed the program requirements last year as well, you will receive the combined $1,200 incentive.
