Update to Parental Leave Effective Date (for qualifying employees)

In the July 18 Benefit News, a parental leave update to the effective date was provided. Parental Leave is available to employees who are on approved FML for the birth, adoption, or placement of their child. Employees will receive five (5) days of paid leave. As an example, this equates to 40 hours of paid Parental Leave for an employee that is scheduled to work 80 hours in a pay period. This leave is for use in the first six months of birth, adoption, or placement. Please review the Parental Leave webpage for detailed information on the program.
