  • Short-term Counseling: Counseling sessions with a qualified counselor to assist with issues such as stress, anxiety, grief, marital/family challenges, relationship issues, addiction, etc. Counseling is available via structured telephonic sessions, video, and in-person at local provider offices.
  •  AWARE Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program: The AWARE program is an alternate modality of support and may be suggested by our clinical team. With a personalized approach to applying mindful practices to life, Aware teaches participants how to be engaged, diminish distractions, and counteract stress. Through six (6) weekly sessions, MBSR-trained health and wellness professionals provide one-on-one support and supply electronic resources for self-guided individual practice.
  • Virtual Group Counseling: This 8-week program combines the benefit of short-term, solution-focused therapy with the benefits of a group experience and the convenience of telephonic or video conferencing. Groups meet for 90 minutes weekly to share and offer support around issues such as anxiety, bereavement, low level depression, divorce and separation, and work-life balance. A qualified mental health professional will lead each group to keep the conversation constructive for all. Speak with your EAP Counselor to determine if this program is right for you.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Deer Oaks encourages not only the mental health, but also the physical health and wellbeing of our members. Work-life consultants are available to provide referrals to providers, specialists, and resources to meet specific needs such as safety programs, support groups, fitness centers and nutrition programs.

  • Take the High Road Ride Reimbursement Program: Deer Oaks reimburses members for their cab, Lyft and Uber fares in the event that they are incapacitated due to impairment by a substance or extreme emotional condition. This service is available once per year per participant, with a maximum reimbursement of $45.00 (excludes tips).
